Abstract
This issue of School Psychology Training and Pedagogy (SPTP) is the second in a two part special series focused on Demystifying academia: Retooling hidden norms to revitalize school psychology. The overall aim of the series is to name, uncover, discuss, and propose solutions to mitigate hidden university norms. The first issue centered on articulating and making visible hidden norms and culture in university life that are not overtly discussed, but need to be uncovered to build and sustain efforts to recruit, retain and affirm a more diverse field of graduate students and faculty. The articles in this second issue sought to name, uncover, discuss, and propose solutions to mitigate hidden university norms more broadly so that faculty can be efficient and centered in preparing school psychologists to provide culturally and linguistically responsive practices in all schools, especially those in which mental and behavioral health services are unmet and in high demand.
