Abstract
In this paper a method for assessment training is described in which specific techniques are taught and opportunities are provided to practice the skills to integrate assessment data and link them to interventions. The described two-course sequence builds assessment skills across time, emphasizes a hypothesis-generating process, and utilizes case studies to develop critical thinking skills.
